Daniel studied and worked in film spending 5 years in the US and Hollywood in particular. His talent has always been about telling a story and having used every medium there is and with a recent MA in Photographic Journalism and Documentary Photography he now uses his digital cameras to tell the story of people.
“For me a wedding is like a movie set, you have different scenes where the story of two families coming together play out with our hero and heroine centre stage. Supporting them are a cast of friends and family. Essential to any great love story is drama and as I move about a wedding there is drama aplenty as I spot the tears, hugs, kisses, laughs, nerves and romance that bring this unique live movie to life. Dan is a traveller having visited and photographed his way through 50 countries.
This developed his style of shooting subjects unaware of his presence. A keen watcher of people he returned to carry on telling the story of people as a senior photographer at Venture’s flagship studio in Manchester.
Now he has teamed up with Daniel Killoran Photography and sharing a vision for a candid style of wedding and portrait photography he enjoys travelling the UK capturing weddings in-between planning his next travelling adventure.

Amy Stanhope, Studio Manager
Amy met Daniel while studying her MA in Photographic Journalism and she has been both a family friend and a colleague ever since. Amy is passionate about customer service and administration having worked for companies such as Tiffany and Co during her early university career. As a result, Amy excels at providing clients with service that goes above and beyond while ensuring that all aspects of day to day life in the office run smoothly.
In her spare time Amy loves to pursue photography and sells her work on a number of craft websites. She is also trained Photo Therapist and is currently studying for her MA Art Psychotherapy which will enable her to achieve her ambition of working with children and young people.
